Role
The Outside Sales Manager will lead and manage the outside sales team to achieve sales targets, revenue growth and ensure a positive customer experience. The Outside Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales and have 9 direct reports. This position will be based out of Thibodaux, but will spend majority of the time in the field traveling with sales team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coach the outside sales team to improve their skills and performance, spending the majority of the time in the field with sales team
- Train outside sales team on sales process and products and services, including technical knowledge
- Develop detailed sales goals for each salesperson by customer/product/segment/activity in coordination with salesperson and VP of Sales
- Monitor and evaluate the engagement of each salesperson, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development with the sales team
- Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities and understand competitor activity
- Identify and allocate resources to effectively achieve sales targets
- Assist sales team in preparing quotes, customer proposals and presentations with profitability, operational capacity and supply chain factors taken into consideration
- Conduct regular sales meetings to discuss leads, opportunities, wins and losses
- Work with other departments within the company to troubleshoot billing and other issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements

Experience/Qualifications
- 5+ years of supervisory experience required
- 5+ years of sales experience in a commercial or industrial market, with exposure to fuel and lubricants
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field preferred but not required
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications such as CLS, OMA, MLT
