Inside Sales Manager

Role

The Inside Sales Manager will lead and manage the inside sales team to achieve sales targets, revenue growth and ensure a positive customer experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriate staffing levels for inside sales department; hire, train and evaluate employees as needed
  • Responsible for staff answering the phones, making order tickets, monitoring order emails, supporting Outside Sales Teams
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of the order entry process
  • Oversee, coach and train the inside sales team
  • Develops detailed sales goals for each salesperson by customer/product/segment/activity in coordination with salespeople and VP of Sales
  • Implement CRM training and insure daily use as a sales tool
  • Conduct weekly pipeline meetings to discuss leads, opportunities, wins and losses
  • Coach inside sales team on pricing strategies and building business cases
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs/trends
  • Develop/implement standardized processes as it relates to operations, maintenance and accounts receivable
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Work with other departments within the company to troubleshoot billing and other issues
  • Deliver on growth goals of the department as well as support growth goals of the company by account management and new accounts
  • Represent the inside sales team internally on company strategy, processes, pricing and special projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Ability to utilize various software programs including CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a commercial or industrial market preferred, with exposure to fuel and lubricants being a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field preferred but not required
